The Web Application Developer is a contract to hire position and will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and growing out web applications developed by Konica Minolta's Solutions Engineering Center (SEC). Using the Agile approach, the Developer should have experience working with C#, ASP.NET Web API, LINQ, Entity Framework, SQL Server, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. In addition to a strong technical background, the ideal candidate should show the ability to think critically, gather information, and problem solve in a team environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join and work with the latest Microsoft technologies. As a member of a small team, the successful candidate will be able to play an important role in the evolution of Konica Minolta's Dispatcher Phoenix while working with the latest technologies.

The position is responsible for developing standalone desktop and/or client/server based software applications.

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship by the company.


  • Develop standalone & server based software applications.
  • Generate application prototypes to test viability of requested projects.
  • Utilize public and private API’s to extend existing products
  • Consume 3rd party API’s or services (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, etc)
  • Utilize distributed version control in a team environment (GIT, Bazaar, Mercurial, or Darcs)
  • Perform other Software Development / Engineering work as needed.

    Job Requirements

    What we expect to see:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree concentration , or 3+ years of proven experience developing web applications
  • Experience programming with C#, ASP.NET Web API, LINQ, Entity Framework and SQL Server
  • Experience in .NET 4.x and .NET Core Frameworks
  • Experience building and consuming Web APIs using JSON
  • Proficient in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Fluent with various web browsers (Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivating and self-learning

    What we like to see:

  • Experience in PowerShell, Node.js, Go, PHP
  • Experience in Angular, React, Sass, PostCSS
  • Experience with Message Queues like MSMQ, AWS SQS, Azure Service Bus
  • Experience with Git, Docker, and Virtual Machines
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems from a terminal
  • Open source code you are proud of
