Role Summary: The objective of the SharePoint Applications Engineer (SAE) is to provide superb customer service reflecting the client-centric and quality focused mission of All Covered through the direct provision of remote and on-site support to our clients.. The SharePoint Applications Engineer is accountable for the overall technical status of the account, and the customer satisfaction. The SharePoint Applications Engineer, will be primarily focused on SharePoint administration, design and configuration functions but will be expected to participate in project delivery and provide end user support as necessary.
Individuals in this role will have at least 2 years of SharePoint and or 3 years of Infrastructure experience. The individual must have an understanding of the disciplines as they apply to the WSS 3.0 / MOSS 2007 / 2010 and familiarities with SharePoint 2013 platform, or the willingness to lean on the job in a fast-paced, consultancy environment.
This is a key role for the organization and requires exceptional communication skills (both written and oral), time management skills, leadership potential, and a complete understanding of the business analysis process.
Duties and Essential Role Functions:
Troubleshoot issues on existing SharePoint environments, including system and user functionality
Configure sites, security, permissions, lists, libraries
Migrations of SharePoint from an existing environment to another or Office 365
Audit and manage SharePoint sites and site collections
Management of all aspects of site security including authentication, group management and user accounts
Manage search and indexing functions
Application of services packs, system backups
Accurately document all work in a timely manner
Deliver assigned tasks to schedule
Deliver training to end users to ensure adoption and successful implementation
Proactive maintenance, analysis, design, development, documentation, and testing of client SharePoint environments
Perform SharePoint and SQL server diagnostic and repairs, including modifications to various those various applications
Project Deployment – the SE will work with assigned project leads and Project managers, working assigned tasks and within defined project scope and milestones to ensure the successful deployment of I.T. projects for our clients.
Analyze system performance to identify deficiencies and help develop and recommend solutions for improvement, to maximize the design of the clients SharePoint environment. The SE will at time have final level approval of proposed solutions for their assigned clients.
Level 1 or 2 Escalation - Provide Subject matter expertise to diagnose and remedy SharePoint and SQL server and end user issues that are escalated by Clients, client stakeholders and/or other members of the service Delivery team
Participate in technical discussions with clients and client stakeholders that impact the client’s business continuity and growth.
Introduce new technology trends, make recommendations and develop plans for the future of the client’s SharePoint Environment.
Develop Subject Matter Expertise in focused area(s) as local team, market and Regional needs dictate. Will be required to contribute to peer training activities.
Professionally document all work performed and submit accurate timecards on a daily basis.
Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of client’s SharePoint environment and supporting material that ensures consistent quality remote support by any member of the Service Delivery Team.
Identification of new revenue opportunities, primarily via projects, within their assigned clients
Effective Utilization target of 90%
Timely escalation of issues that prevents the SE from performing the above job functions.
Qualifications: Associates Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
Technical Requirements of the Role:
2 years of Active Directory and Windows Server (2003/2008)
Experience with or familiarity of SharePoint Designer, Services, and Object Model
TCP/IP, DNS WINS, IIS 6/7
Basic Firewall, Backup / Storage Solutions
Multi farm / staging deployments
Experience administering complex SharePoint implementations
Ability to deploy and administer SharePoint Server 2007/2010/2013
SharePoint Workflow Development
InfoPath and Nintex Form Development
SharePoint Migration Skills
Excellent verbal communications skills and customer service experience
MS SQL Server exposure
An understanding of Microsoft Office and how it interacts with SharePoint
MCSA 2008 or higher
MCSD 2008 or higher

HTML, jQuery, and CSS

Training is an essential part of continued growth at All Covered. As such, travel will be required for a week of off-site New Hire Training. This training is generally conducted within the 1st three (3) months of employment with the company. Additional skills training will also be available and further travel within the U.S. may be required for this position.
Daily interaction with team members and a variety of clients. The SAE works closely with the Application Team Lead and Client Account stakeholders to ensure consistent quality service Delivery.
Must be aware of and make best use of proper escalation procedure for technical and non-technical client issues in order to achieve timely quality resolution and client satisfaction.
The majority of work will be performed remotely but at time could be at client locations which may vary in terms of quality of workspace. Consecutive hours spent at a time sitting in front of computer monitor and using keyboard and mouse. Frequent driving or commuting from one client location to another may be required.
