Job Description

Major Goals and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expected delivery time information to the sales force and technical set-up team
  • Maintain working knowledge of current vendor purchasing programs
  • Track and pursue all available purchasing credits
  • Place orders via the Internet, fax and telephone
  • Produce purchase orders
  • Reconcile purchase orders to shipping documents and invoices
  • Produce summary reports for management
  • Weekly cycle counts

    Essential Activities:
  • Purchasing Tracking 25%
  • Invoice to PO Reconciliation 20%
  • Order Placement 20%
  • Credit Tracking 15%
  • Vendor Correspondence 10%
  • Management Reports 10%

    Job Requirements

    Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1 year purchasing experience preferred

    Prerequisites:
  • Excellent PC skills
  • Enjoy working with numbers
