BASIC FUNCTIONProvide technical support to dealers, technicians, ASMs, and end-users over the phone which includes: on-line diagnostics, programming, and testing of all Muratec products including network applications and connectivity.
Answer inbound service calls on customer 1-800 line, providing technical and programming support to end-users, ASMs, dealers, and field technicians.
Enter all call transactions in the AS/400 system keeping an accurate service history.
Dispatching service calls in the AS/400 system when the problem can’t be resolved over the phone.
Carrying out special administrative duties at the discretion of their supervisor.
Issuing RMA’s for machines that are non-repairable in the field.

QUALIFICATIONSDiploma in Digital Electronics or Computer Technology, Associates Degree, Military certification, and/or 3 years comparable experience in the field.
Must be able to speak English clearly using verbal communications skills at a level to effectively convey technical instructions over the phone.
Must have the ability to address irate customers in a courteous, tactful and professional manner.
Must be PC literate as well as possess a basic knowledge of PC/Networks and their various configurations related to the connectivity of digital fax, printers, and scanner devices.
Must have a general knowledge of digital Fax/copier/printer devices and understand their mechanical and electronic operations both as stand alone as well as network devices.
Must be able to read and understand technical manuals, charts, diagrams etc.
Must be able to function well in a moderately high stress environment.
Must have dependable transportation as well as a current Texas drivers license.
Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs from floor to waist.
Eye-hand coordination sufficient to work with tools and intricate machine parts.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to remember characteristics and differences of numerous different machine models.
