The function of a Learning Management System Analyst is to review and analyze complex data and reports to isolate and report on trends or specific business needs and provide suggestions or business cases to resolve those needs. An Analyst must be thoroughly familiar with running standard LMS reports, creating custom LMS reports, compiling data from multiple sources, and providing summaries of data in flexible and understandable ways.


  • Day-to-day management of the learning management system (LMS).
  • Complete vendor or other training as required becoming a subject matter expert on the features and functions of the learning management system.
  • Manage and respond to user questions and requests.
  • Manage content upload to ensure timely availability of courses.
  • Manage system issues by liaising with vendors and system owner.
  • Develop and institute business processes and reports for the efficient and effective operation of the learning management system.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of all reports to determine the necessity for enhancements/changes.
  • Create and manage the process of prioritizing the creation of new reports and communicate the process to the correct audience.
  • Build and process new analytical reports as required.
  • Establish business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the learning management system and the team’s interaction with the system and the audiences.
  • Track and monitor user experience and establish regular meetings to prioritize system enhancements/bug fixes.
  • Create and manage business processes that properly assign courses to the correct audience and an audit process to review and correct assignments as needed.
  • Analyze learning management system data to maximize usage, uncover issues, and resolve them.
  • Provide excellent and expedited customer support.
  • Provide LMS support to team members as needed.
  • Communicate system enhancements, changes, and all other necessary information after first determining the appropriate audiences.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Participate in learning activities to enhance and grow the current skill set.
  • Continue to understand the changing audiences and discover how the needs of the audience can be better met by enhancements to the learning management system and the reporting it provides.

    Job Requirements


  • Two year degree, technical school diploma or 2+ years’ experience related to learning management, business administration and/or statistical analysis.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in time management and organizational discipline.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work effectively with short project timelines.
  • Demonstrable skill with MS Office (Word, Excel) required. Specifically, the creation of complex pivot tables within Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Sequel Server or other Database Management tools a significant plus.
  • Travel of up to one week in support of a Technical Education Workshop may be required.
  • Position may require approximately one to two months initial training in our Windsor, CT facility.
