Role Summary:
The Virtualization Analyst is primarily responsible for the end user experience of All Covered’s virtual products by interacting with clients and employees via managed endpoints. These endpoints could be workstations, laptops, virtual machines, thin clients, mobile devices, and other form factors. The Virtualization Analyst serves as support arm to the Subject Matter Expert and Service Desk in the areas around the deployment, management, training, security, and support of these devices. The Virtualization Analyst will support enterprise technologies such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Remote Desktop Services (RDS) among several others.

Duties and Essential Role Functions:

  • Provide Level 2 assistance to Service Desk in supporting virtualized products, programs, controls, processes and practices within an enterprise and across all facets of infrastructure.
  • Provide feedback and assist in reviewing, creating or documenting standard operating procedures, recommendations, project specific documents and resource guides as needed
  • Assist in constructing policies and standards that impact infrastructure operations and services but also improve overall service delivery.
  • Understand interfaces and API’s across platforms especially as defined by the emerging Software Define X environments (e.g. software defined Storage, software defined networks, etc.)
  • Have the ability to drive and lead an overall project as an individual contributor and/or as part of a large, medium and/or small team
  • Perform in proposal efforts and assists in sales activities
  • Provide customer onboarding and offboarding assistance as directed

    Job Requirements


  • 7+ year's IT/Virtualization Deployment and/or Support in a large, mission-critical environment with a background in the following:
  • Proven Experience with computer applications including setup, maintenance & troubleshooting along with working experience with enterprise-wide deployment solutions
  • Experience working with the following list of platforms and associated integration and transformation techniques:
    -Storage and related storage systems and distributed infrastructure
    -Enterprise compute and related virtualization platforms
    -Service Management and related best practices for ITIL
    -Network and related network enterprise network capabilities
    -Strong familiarity with public and private cloud architectures and migration techniques
    -Understanding of desktop and mobile solutions across the enterprise
    -Experience working with business principles, practices and economics
  • Experience working with common best practices, innovations, trends and challenges in the industry
  • Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and the company
  • Virtualization troubleshooting in applications, session connectivity, policies, printing
  • Experience with Citrix ESXi, Netscaler, Xendesktop, XenApp and CPSM is a plus
  • Solid understanding of Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Group Policies, Windows 2003, 2008, 2012
  • Experience with VPN site-site setup, Scripting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Technology related fields a major plus

    People skills:
  • Ability to coordinate, work with and gain the trust of business stakeholders and technical resources
  • Able to work under pressure in time critical situations.

    Process Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail in standard operations procedures within a virtualized environment while providing support
  • Training service delivery organizations for multi-tiered support

    Communication Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business representatives in explaining impacts and strategies and where necessary, in layman's terms.

  • Citrix CCE-V, CCP-V, CCA-V, CCP-N, CCA-N, and CCP-M are a plus.
  • Service Management or ITIL certifications are a plus
  • Memberships and participation in relevant professional associations.

    Training is an essential part of continued growth at All Covered. As such, travel will be required for a week of off-site New Hire Training. This training is generally conducted within the 1st three (3) months of employment with the company. Additional skills training will also be available and further travel within the U.S. may be required for this position.
