Job Description

Konica Minolta is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant with strong Excel skills to work in our Solutions Engineering Center in Windsor, Connecticut to provide general administrative and clerical support for our software development group. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced software development environment.

This position is responsible for relieving the manager/department staff of minor administrative tasks and providing a wide variety of support services to the organizational unit.


  • Monitor incoming department communications (e-mail, mail, phone, etc.) and respond, or redirect the message as appropriate.
  • Act as point of contact for internal/external customers and provide general support to visitors.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, travel, hotel, restaurant reservations, group activities, etc.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are properly stocked with necessary supplies (projector, whiteboard markers, catering, etc.).
  • Attend departmental meetings and take detailed notes.
  • Develop and maintain a filing system (both hard copy and electronic).
  • Update and maintain departmental policies.
  • Track and maintain accurate records for all department assets.
  • Order office supplies (knowledge of Ariba is a plus).
  • Collect required data and generate reports and departmental documents using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Analyze report data and metrics to identify trends and generate reports to management as required.
  • Provide analytical support as needed for various department projects.
  • Perform other administrative/clerical duties as required.

    Job Requirements

  • Associates Degree, or equivalent from a two-year college, or technical school, or 2+ years of demonstrated work experience performing the duties outlined in this job description
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (knowledge of Pivot Tables is a plus)
  • Must exude a positive attitude and collaborate well with others
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels management
  • Must be highly attentive to detail and possess strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced development environment while prioritizing multiple tasks appropriately.
  • Preference given to candidates fluent in written and spoken Japanese
